How to Share Content to a Zoom Room (Screen Sharing)
Zoom Desktop Client Settings
Step 1: Open the Zoom Desktop Client on your computer.
Step 2: If you are not logged in, please refer to our guide on Logging into Zoom with SSO. Otherwise, select the settings gear located in the top right corner.
Step 3: Under “General” settings, ensure that the option for “Use Dual Monitors” is checked as seen in this screenshot.
Step 4: Under “Share Screen” settings, ensure that the “Show all sharing options” is selected for both the “When I share my screen in a meeting” and “When I share directly to a Zoom Room” categories. You may now exit out of the ZDC Settings.
Sharing Your Screen to a Zoom Room
Step 1: Once your computer is on the desk and in close proximity to the iPad controller, from the Zoom Desktop Client, click Share Screen.
Step 2: A dialogue box will open presenting you with all the options for screen sharing. Select your preferred method (don’t forget to share sound if you are attempting to screen share videos you want the class to hear) and click share at the bottom right. Your screen is now being shared.
Step 3: Sometimes, due to either the compatibility of different devices or network issues, Zoom Desktop Client will prompt you to input the meeting
Passcode and a Share Key in order to share your screen. The meeting passcode can be found in your “Day Of Course” Communication Email. The
“Share Key” Can be found by going to the iPad Zoom Controller and clicking on Share Content.
